Ok, this is not a joke, so to qualify for the Clown Bin let's call it pointless humor.

I like reading blogs on the net. SJH's is interesting, "The Hadley Family Adventure." The other blog from DR1 about Peter and Flemming is slightly less interesting, maybe it was the great parasol debacle that did me in. I enjoy reading their English, though, they say things like "in a snappy" where I might have said "in a jiffy". It's nice to live vicariously through the blogs.

However, if there were other blogs of DR1 life, these are some I have dreamt up on my day off from work.

Criss Colon: "El Gordo y Sus Chicas" Must be 18 to read. In fact for some people this would be a subscription service, I'm sure.

AZB's Guide to Wives. Pretty self-explanatory.

Pam: Animal Husbandry in the DR (It kills me that she has earned the nickname "Goat")

Chiri: "My Life in a Government Office" (after her recent posts on the cedula... actually her title was better "My Son-El Ilegal").

I'll conclude with the general "Sankie Webcam". Or maybe we can call it the "Anna-Cam" since she has to wade through the sankie stories.

Understand this is all in good fun, maybe we can come up with some potential blogs?

How about,"All Maine Girl,24/7"??????????

You are the most beautiful girl ever to post her picture on DR1!!!!!! The first picture you posted,I thought it was a record album cover!!! and I really don't find "White Girls" very attractive!! You remind me of all my "High School Girlfriends"!!!
What does your husband have that makes him so special???? Tell him to send me some of whatever it is!!! Cris Colon;)

Now not a single soul has raised a red flag, no one calls him a racist.
Now when I prefer more whiter looking girls than the sosua sleazy street sluts. I am called a racist pig.
See the double standard?

Now Criss

Everybody knows AZB is a nice looking Paki who's still living in Midieval times with regards to his views on women. Since the Moros arrived in Spain, and Spain sent that funny Italian guy, what's his name, off to discover the DR, well, things just haven't changed much.
That's why it's a good place for him.
As for you, Criss, you are a different story. But a kindred soul.
Great potential.
Maybe after Jan is back she'd do the honor of writing some of the potential stories. She has a way with words.

:: sigh ::

Pam, PLEASE, live here awhile before you make anymore ridculously stupid posts on subjects about which you know absolutely nothing. You just haven't got a clue! One of the reasons people jump on you, besides the fact that you don't seem to have any sense of humour left at all, is that you also are clueless about the fact that you are clueless! Good Lord! I don't even know where to start with this. So I won't really.

Let me just relate the birth of my first child here, quickly. Alba's third, all by c-section. They just do that here because the hospitals are overloaded and it's fast and easy. I don't like it, but it's not my country or culture and Alba is fine with it, so OK. At the hospital waiting for our new arrival I was ushered OUT by armed army guys in fatigues carrying loaded rifles. These guys in fatigues with rifles also made sure no boys entered the girls wing during the day. I had about two hours per day to visit. Only time I've ever seen a Dominican be punctual is when the time was up that guard army guy was there with his rifle pointed my way.

Know what? If Alba were having another, I'd go to Scott's party, too. The HELL with that BS!

Now. Anything else to add, Pam? I am sure there will be. But if you're as smart as you seem to be, you won't.

Back on track....

"4 Bikini C's"--how's that for a blog name. Somehow the life and times of Mrs. Colon scares me a litte. Take it to Mainer's thread, anyway--hers seems to be less about pointless humor and more about socioeconomic practices concerning life's essentials.

BTW, I've never met Criss...it's nice that he likes that picture of me, though. Islands make you prettier. In fact, I always seem to bloom the closer I am to water.

I have met AZB. I've said it before and I'll say it again: he was the perfect gentleman to me and helped me out of a little situation in Santiago. I'm not one to rely on the help of strangers in a strange city, but he came through. How does that rate on the Jerk Meter? Actions speak louder than words.

I'll end with one more for the guys:

"Eddy's Angels". Why doesn't someone set up a webcam in that bar?

WebCams at Eddy's?

MaineGirl, I have tried.

I have extra cameras and a few old computers we could use to feed the 'net. But the DR1 Webmaster (you know that geeky looking guy sporting the fake Beatles Liverpool accent who really hails from Shard End?) keeps shooting the idea down. I guess there's already too many incriminating photos of my boss, being smothered by Eddy's, ah, 'Angels', floating around the web!

:: ducking ::
