Well, this country should wake up. In case if it is held by USA as CAT II it should prohibit to US commercial airlines to fly here, what's the problem? This week Russia closed its airspace to all Air Canada's planes because Canada didn't gave to Aeroflot a new slot they asked, so AC's flights to Asia are in the air, this is the way DR should react.

The FAA was to put Venezuela in Cat II, then the Venezuelan govt told the FAA that they were putting the US in Cat 2 too in Venezuela...At the end, Venezuela never got Cat 2 certification...Although, I don't think this would work with the DR just for the fact that the tourism is our main source of income and in this crisis that would be the last thing on hippos mind.
