I remember last year a thanksgiving dinner was held in Sosua, I think at Rocky's? Does anybody know if something is planned for this year? I want some turkey and pumpkin pie...

Or, does anybody know where I can get a turkey? Maybe I'll actually cook:)

The fat, stupid American with the hairy back and flip flops is organizing another bash this year. I think there is another thread regarding it somewhere.

marina, you can buy a turkey at the market in Pto Pta, if you don't mind it being LIVE...

(My sister-in-law is the best chicken-duck-turkey killer/de-featherer/trusser/carver)

But Playero usually sells frozen Butterball turkeys, as an alternative.

Butterballs are your best bet. Unlike the chickens , the local turkeys I've eaten were hard and not that tasty.

Butterballs also sold at Supermercado Tropical in POP. Our experience with local turkey, frozen, has been better than Eddy's. Just lucky, I guess.
