Fishing from shore

what rods would one use
im going to punta cana from march 25 to feb3, staying at the Bavaro Beach Resort, is the fishing good in front of the resort.

Also i was wondering where one could rent a small fishing boat with a guide, im just looking for small lite tackle fishing, any villages i should check out, id rather give the money to locals in need i plan to bring some teloscopic rods and some 5 foot 2 peice rods, with spin cast and baitcaster reels, older ones i hope to leave behind when i leave, any ideas would be apreciated.

From your hotel take a taxi, tell the driver you want to go downtown Cortecito, as soon as you get there tell him to drop you of in fromt to the Supermercado Amalia, there many giftshop and you can ask to any salesman where is "the Marlins" every body who works there know where is it.

Not really interested in marlins more so from shore fishing, or a small fishing boat and maybe bottom fishing, not far from shore.

They can take you whatever you want for fishing
the name of the place is "the Marlins"
not necessary to be profecional fishing just explain to them
what kind of fishing you want to do.

I don't know how much it is but don't pay what they ask
you go to deal as cheaper possible the can deal.
