I have been to the DR 6 times, i love it its great! I have only been in May and September! When we went last time in the middle of May, the first week was quite quiet. The crowd watching the entertainment was quite small! the second week it was packed - great.
Next year we are taking some friends who have never been, and we might have to go earlier than May. Will it be quieter in March / April? Is there a particular season for Americans / Canadians / Brits? We just want it to be busy so our friends (who might only go once) experience it fully.
We (as usual) are off to Playa Dorada, and would stay in the Gran Playa Dorada or the Flamenco, as we have done before.
