$35 million Dollars that's an awful lot of money if i had that kind of money i'd be saving it for some rainy days or maybe buy a few airplanes and throw in an american airline certificate for that matter and still have money to spare.

"WOW"

Why do they keep comparing Aeromar with Air Santo Domingo???

I'm telling you people. It's a huge difference!!!

Aeromar wasn't ever a passengers airline, they were a freighter in the past, they started working with pax a few years ago, the didn't do well, that understandable, but Air Santo Domingo, maybe has several years flying with passengers, S.A.P. bought it from Air Europa, so they started doing better, they have been flying to Puerto Rico for a while!!! Even with that AA flying.
They fly a Boeing 727-200 and the Beechcraft's 1900D even when that AA in the past tryed to take'm down flying their ATR-42 into HEX, and what happened???
So don't compare everything you say, be sure you read, you made research before so when you give your opinion you are based on real facts not only speculations.

Maybe some people just got to know them now and think: "oh this is just another dominican experiment". But it ain't!!!

I hope they keep doing good even if I don't fly with Air Santo Domingo, but I want a serious airline to be representing my country (Dom. Rep.) and showing that it ain't no "Chepa" it's the result of a big effort to put the name of the country to fly high with wings that won't melt with then sun.

I am happy that Air Santo Domingo will be flying MIA-SDQ. Though I will never fly Air Santo Domingo it will be competition to AA . I will be able to get cheaper fares from AA as they try to undercut Air Santo Domingo fares and more than likely having their prices several dollars higher than Air Santo Domingo, and since AA has a solid reputation, people will stay fly AA and receive their ff miles which more than well makes up for a few dollars difference and the security of flying with an established airline.
dale7(satisfied with the many AA experiences)

dale7, until now passengers do not share your opinion, ASD operate 4 daily flights, 3 to SJU and 1 to SJU, load factor is very high, prices are much cheaper, passengers consider that service is better than at AA. So you better try to fly with ASD and then post your opinion here, do not speak about what you have no idea!

the man simply stated that he likes the competition which will allow him a better fare on AA and also work with the FF miles..sounds like a smart idea to me.

now AA is more established than ASD isn't it?

what he posted was his strategy so get off his back
