AIRLINES TO ADD FUEL SURCHARGE
As a result of the sharp rise in fuel prices over the past time, the most airlines will not drop the fares, some airlines have already introduced from 10 up to 30$ fuel surcharge, American, Delta, JetBlue, Continental (the major airlines on the routes to the DR) havent yet added but i excpect they will add it soon. this will not take effect to the people who's will buy tickets from now on, the people who have bought before must pay attention to pay a fuel surcharge, mostly the airline/tour operator/travel agency will inform you!

Witch airlines with destination the Dominican Republic have already added the fuel surcharge:

From Europe;

(20 ? RT)Martinair (Netherlands), (10/20 ? RT) HollandExel (Netherlands), (7? RT)Austrian Airlines/ Lauda Air (Austria/Italy), (4 to 20 ? RT) KLM/Air France (* KLM have introduced, but not sure if AF have done it also!) and the most charter airlines of Europe have a fuel surcharge on intercontinental destination around 20 US$

From America;

N/A will be updated when available!

Not Terribly New Info

These have been around for donkey's years. And it figures with the ones you mention all flying trans-Atlantic they have the most to pay for fuel. Not the end of the world really, certainly not earth-shattering news or reason not to come to the DR, really.
