Any types of Health care insurance in DR

Can anyone explain or recomends any health care insurance in DR (Santo Domingo) ussually what do they and they not cover, deductibles, estimate prices. Any other helpfull information I will thank you for.

There are many health insurance plans available. Most will provide for basic health problems. You will have to buy additional insurance for major problems. If you can afford to do so, you can also purchase US medical insurance for even more difficult cases, such as cancer.

Expect to pay about RD$10,000+ for a basic family insurance plan. Seguros Dominicanos de Salud offers a discount of 20% for those purchasing the plan in January and paying for the full year.
