Club Med Punta Cana was closed for long due remodeling. The hotel is the oldest in the Punta Cana area and was long due for an upgrade. At the time it opened, its austere rooms were "in" -- beds and a shower (the idea was that guests would only come to their rooms to sleep and shower). They will be adding amenities such as TV and enlargening the rooms, plus improving the decor. This is an excellent choice for vacationing with children. Personally have stayed there several times with my children and they have loved it. Its great for parents also, that get time off to relax as the children participate in day and evening activities organized especially for them. If you wont be bringing your children, choose another area resort.
