New Airport-La Romana

Understand construction began more than a year ago on a new international airport north of Casa de Campo. Anyone have info on status ie. is construction still ongoing? What is projected operational date? Was told US airlines in addition to American, such as Continental and Delta were expected to begin service when complete.

Although construction began some time ago there has been no work going on at the new airport site for quite some time. Sorry, don't have any details.

Just came back from La Romana on the 29th of july . There is nothing new at all there. I seen no construction at all of any type. The place is a Wild place to see if you have never been there.
