but some of the boards out there are HUGE!

Some have 90+ million posts

The largest VBulletin one has 23+ million (23,197,273), so at least we have room to grow with the board :)

Some of the posters have 200,000+ posts under their belt.
Ummm... And I thought I didn't have a life.

Not surprisingly most of the real big ones are geared towards gaming...people with obviously too much time in their hands.

Don't worry Rob, we can do it. Beat the big boys, that is.

We'll be like the Little Engine that Could. One of the most inspiring books I ever read.

Guess you won't have much time to visit up north for the next few years. oh well.

Thanks for your suggestion on the book. I checked it out of the library today and hope to finish it in the next 4 or 5 days. So far I find it inspiring.

I think one of the reasons DR1 may lag behind in post is that the moderators keep closing all of the good stuff. Like this dog in the above post.

I don't think that list is accurate. I post on several boards and as far as forum software goes, http://www.prospero.com/clients.htm Prospero Technologies is the best hands down. And prospero is not listed anywhere on that site. One entertainment board I post on, we're at 2.5 million posts and that's just the entertainemnt section and it's not on this list. I joined when it was at 60,000 posts, they had a contest to see who would post the 100,000th post.

Delphi forums http://www.delphiforums.com/ alone which is hosted by Prospero has millions and millions and millions of posts and they're not on that list.

Maybe it has to be a vbulletin board to make the list!

Wanna bet we could get up there real quick if some ppl keep posting one liners just for something to say! ;)

delphiforums has many forums, we are talking about seperate forums.

You have to register to be listed. It accepts most forum software.

I noticed a lot are gaming sites as mentioned and many Christian sites and porn sites also.

Shows what people like to talk about. Games, sex and god.

As a single destination, DR1 is a pretty busy board.
Don't know of any single destination boards as busy.

Better get working on that 250,000 post competition :)

So what did you think? Inspiring, or what!! Has it undone some of your many lifelong emotional troubles?

I didn't respond at first because I ... well, I admit I was rather jealous that you are able to read so fast. Superior male mind, and all.
