I currently live in new york and plan to attend UCE in San Pedro next year. I will be visiting the dominican republic in a couple of weeks, but otherwise have never been there. I would appreciate any advice regarding what to expect and any unknown preparations I should make. Also, I have read the messages concerning the racial issues there and I think I would be considered una morena - will life there be more difficult for me being a foreigner and of darker complexion?
