With yesterday's first arrests regarding the infamous Plan Renove, the purchase of public transportation vehicles for mainly one PRD-related syndicate (and crooked politicians, their relatives, friends, etc.---some individuals were able to obtain up to 56 buses!!) during the previous government (and a US$200,000,000.00 swindle!), the equally infamous Hipolito Mejia and his band of thieves, it appears that the Dominican judicial system begins to work, at least for now, to try to do some justice on behalf of the people.

The PRD has been, is and always will be, fundamentally an association of delinquents taking advantage of the gullibility and downright ignorance of the large, lower-class masses that support them, in order to use the government for purely political and personal gain purposes stealing, always, everything and including the kitchen sink. Obviously, the worst victims are always exactly those masses that support them. What an irony.

The sad, and tragic, fact of this situation is that they continue to thrive and carry on as if they had nothing to be ashamed of and that does not bode well for this country and its people. I am so sad to see my country so lost.

The first 10 were released on bail yesterday! The case will quietly go the way of all Government corruption cases,ie."Vanish Into Thin Air!"
What a pathetic example for the Dominican public!

Well now they will all quietly leave the country, and live well ever after on the $$$$ they have stashed away.

No more on the Jeepeta's and the police either. As a new one shows up and forces the old one out of the news, the old one also gets to slither away.

Nothing really changes. :bandit: :tired:
