I was listening to a little Frank Reyes the other day. What does "machucando" mean in English?

Probably depends on the context: I wonder what it could be in the context of bachata lyrics, but machucar usually means to crush, or possibly squeeze, so machucando means crushing or squeezing.

Don't forget every bachatero has a phrase or slogan that identifies him. In the case of Frank Reyes his is "machucando". Antony Santos has several but on his new album "Vuelve amor" it's "me gusta esa vaina". Los Toros Band says "bachat?ame mam?". Raulin Rodr?guez says "tu cacique".

To be honest with you it never dawned on me to think of the context of "machucando" but I will when I listen to his songs again...which is everyday.

For our intents and purposes, we could say it's "grind."

Beny Sadel....Majao, majao.

Jane,

I like your interpretation of "machucando". So when we say "a lo majao" es "machucando" entonces.

Tienes raz?n.
