Hi,
I have not seen any questions about transport out of Santiago airport on the site. I would be arriving to Santiago on the late AA flight early in the morning (circa 2am). I guess public transort is a bad idea at that time; what is the taxi procedure to Cabarete; any idea of the costs? Or is it worth staying in Santiago for a day (i.e.; are cigar shops open on Saturday??). Would be glad of any info.

Also, anyone knows of any freediving/lines/contacts or snorcheling tips around Cabarete?

thanks a lot!

You have multiple issues

You can take a taxi from the airport for about$2000 pesos. You can call
Rocio Valerio at 582 5112 or 357 6047 and she and her husband will take you to Cabarete, safely for about $70 US. Their service is efficient and they have received high praise from those that have used them.

You could save a lot of money if you were to spend the night in Santaigo and take a bus the next day.

Cigar shops? there is only one (perhaps two) that is worth while but the best prices are not available on Saturday except a a couple of factories.

Since I am a cigar person, you can PM me for more info on these.
