Investment property in Bani

My suegro has 20 acres of beach front property in Bani he wants to sell me for around $30,000 dollars. I'm still thinking about doing it, but I want to get some opinions about this first. I haven't seen the land yet, but my wife says it's pretty nice beach, although virgen. What's everyone's opinions on the beaches around Bani? Would this be a good investment for maybe a vacation home or something?

20 acrea or 20 tareas? There's a difference. If it's 20 tareas then you're talking about 1500 USD per tarea or around 45k pesos. Depending or where it's at this could be an OK price or very expensive. The question is what can you do with it? Are you better off investing that money in something else? These are things you should consider.

They're 20 acres. (125 tareas). Supposedly the beach is really nice, but it's in Bani, you know, so far away from the capital. I hear it's like living 30 years in the past...
