Most judges I ever saw (professionally, I hasten to add!) were slow enough to have got to full stop anyway.

Remember that Schweppes ad. where the butler Wilson delivered the glass, G & T in his painfully slow shuffle & then had to retrace steps through the baronial hall, to get the ice?
