Viva Establishes Dominican Offices
Friday January 21, 2:21 pm ET

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 2005--Viva International, Inc. (OTCBB: VIVI - News) announced today that Viva Air Dominicana, S.A., its Dominican airline subsidiary has secured offices and has begun setting up its city ticket and tour charter sales offices in the Dominican Republic.
Viva recently completed negotiations and executed a term lease for the offices which are located adjacent to other major airline carriers in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Company anticipates the office to be in full operation within 10 business days. Viva's current plan is to begin flight operations in Dominican Republic and throughout the Caribbean in early March of 2005 in expectation of obtaining all necessary approvals.

"We are pleased that the long process of sight selection and lease negotiations has been completed, commented Pier S. Bjorklund, Viva's public relations and business development consultant. Previously, we have shipped all the furniture and office equipment necessary to the Dominican Republic in preparation for this day."

During the past year, Viva's management has held significant numbers of meetings with Caribbean hotel and tourism organizations to determine the demand for commuter airline operations to and from the Dominican Republic. In addition, Viva has been able to successfully complete negotiations with the Dominican government to become recognized as a Dominican Republic Flag Carrier. This recognition is expected to provide substantial economic rights and marketable benefits to Viva Air Dominicana, S.A.

"We have been encouraged by the outstanding level of local community support thus far, commented Oscar Hasan of Viva Air Dominicana. S.A. We feel encouraged about our acceptance and look forward to contributing to the exciting continued growth of the country's' economy. Our local staff is eager to begin promoting the "FLY VIVA" marketing campaign next week through out the island's tour industry."

Brilliant idea, since no office furniture is sold locally in the DR.

When pigs fly.

Everytime I check up on this forum and read about Viva it amazes me that people actually believe they will soon fly. Is it that people in the Dominican Republic can't see a scam coming or do they need help with that. They lied to everyone here in NY with their introduction to the market over a year ago making most of the airline agencies believe them and then never even bothering to keep us up to date with their advances. Its all a scam from the so called President to the CEO of Viva.

Interesting track record for Robert J. Scott of Traverse City, Michigan:

http://www.sos.state.ms.us/ed_pubs/PressReleases/Articles/PayPhoneCase.asp

"Secretary of State Eric Clark has reached an agreement to allow Mississippians to get their money back in a $3.3 million investment scheme involving the sale and leasing of pay phones...Reaching agreement with the Secretary of State's Office are: ...Tri-Financial Group Inc. of Traverse City, Michigan. Tri-Financial agents marketed the telephone program on behalf of Phoenix. Named in the order are Tri-Financial principals David A. Nickerson, Clyde A. Sinclair, and Robert J. Scott, all of Michigan."

Allegedly sold securities without a license. Minnesota, Kansas and Montana issue cease and desist orders.

viva plans from thier press agency

Viva has cleaned up its operations and debts in the D.R. It is moving forward in obtaining its approvals. It has financial backing and has hired a group of directors in the DR that will assist it in obtaining its license. During this period, it has secured the Saab 340A's to provide service to the lesser Antilles / CCS and tour operator routes in the Caribbean for POP and PUJ.

The company is looking at the following routes as an introduction into the market: STI - CCS / LRM - CCS / PUJ - CCS / POP - CCS

They are also looking at Aruba / Curacao as regular routes. The aircraft will remain a "N" reg plane operating under a FAA license. These flights will originate in SJU and go via the above routes and SDQ on thier way south. The aircrafts will spend the night on the return flights in the D.R. with early morning departures to SJU and other locations. No flights are planned to the USA mainland due to already high increase in service by US airlines and the cost of such operations.

I have been able to obtain the above information from thier new press agency that has been contracted in SDQ. They have obtained the old Air Santo Domingo offices on 27th de Febrero between Churchill and Lincoln, which are due to be opened in 2 weeks. Will pass on more info as I find out -
