My sister (in the US) home-schooled her 3 kids through the 9th grade, and it worked out really well for them. If you have good reasons (economic or religious for example) to do this, I'd suggest doing a websearch to look at the myriad of materials and resources available and specifically developed for this purpose.
You should consider that going this route could severly hinder your children's timetable for learning the language and culture. Not so bad if they will only be there say a year or 2, but if you are looking at living there permenantly you would want to be sure you aren't giving up more than you are gaining.
