Cigars

I'm going to Punta Cana soon and would like to know if anyone knows where the best place is to buy cigars (real ones that is).

The better prices on the better cigars are found in the US because the better cigars manufactured in the DR are for export only. You can check at the Bavaro Plaza, which should have better prices than the hotels, but you will be better off shopping for cigars in a US store.

I purchased some COHIBA & MONTE CRISTOS from a seemingly reputable vendor at The Paradisus last month as I did the previous year. Their quality is good and I have enjoyed them. Is there truth about them being fake? If they are fake, who's cigars are they? In either event, they are good and the prices were as well, but just curious about your comment to Lee. Thanks

There is an online version of "Cigar Aficionado Magazine" that had an excellent article about how to spot fake Cohiba cigars.
