It looks like the best route from Samana to Santiago is Nagua - Salcedo - Moca - Santiago. Is that the best route? Does anybody know how long it will take or interesting things to see along the way?

Depends on

Whether you are going by bus or are an experienced driver.

I have a friend who is taking the trip tomorrow, so I'll have better infor tomorrow evening.

Generally speaking 31/2 hours by car, perhaps 4 by bus. Question is, are the detours well marked?

Good luck, I'll post tomorrow with any new info.

Thanks, Hillbilly. My wife and I are renting a car. I'm looking forward to finding out how the trip was for your friend.
