Wheelchair or Scooter rentals?

We are planning to go to DR in April with another couple. Neither my girlfriend or I can walk very far due to disabilities. Does anyone know if there are wheelchair or those motorized scooters that the disabled use for rent at any of the hotels or anywhere else?
