You make it sound like all Dominican's eat cat. I lived in the Dominican Republic all my life, and yes there are a few cases of cat's being eaten, but that mostly happens in the barrios and campos where any meat is a welcome sign to the poor people.
Just remember that even here in the US some people eat cat... I know of at least 4 Chinese restaurants here in the area I'm living in here in the US that have been closed down for serving cat meat..... All the stray cats were dissapearing in the nearby alleys.
