New Service Between the DR and Florida

I understand there is new air service betwen the DR and Florida with one of the small regional carreirs. Does anybody know the name of this airline? Also, is there inexpensive flight between Puerto Rico and the DR?

Would it not be in the DR's interest to facilitate more air travel? Why make it difficult (i.e. high taxes on flights) to get there? Seems very counterproductive if they want to encourage tourism.

The taxes won't' stop...

and it is just another way to screw any tourist wanting a vacation in the DR. Why else would Brazil charge outrageous fees for their visa just to visit their country and you walk around Rio and there are mobs of homeless kids committing crimes all over the place-even the beach is'nt safe anymore!!!! Well, in the DR at least it has'nt gotten that bad.

Politicians & Gov't Officials? Cut out a tax they created!! Gimme a break, if that's what you're suggesting. If anything, they'll increase the taxes.

BRASIL, only did that because the USA started it.been to most of the 27 states in brasil ,never had a problem what so ever.RIO.... run in the morning and walked the beach,side streets late at night plenty of times,you need good judgement.

Well it depends where You are going but AA offers service to all the airports in DR Spirit flies to SDQ and some other airlines it all depends
