Don't know if it's true, but someone said that everything in Boca Chica was closed down. Bars, discos and restaurants. Maybe someone can confirm or deconfirm ?

Just the bars (and Cosmo's disco) on Duarte are closed. The restaurants are still open.

does anyone know of a house i could rent in boca chica close to the beach.I'll be going there for a week in may.my e-mail is heavennsangel@aol.com.any ideas are welcome.
You could rent the room at the Playa Vista beach bar. I believe they rent it for $35/40 a night. TV, Bed, Bath, Bar and right on the beach.

I was in Boca Chica yesterday. The whores just walked their asses down the street to the Burbujas disco just west of the park on Duarte.

True the working girls are still around boca chica.....but if you just want to hang out and chill and have a few cube libra's or presidentes....what once was duarte at night is a ghost town. There are perhaps three restaurants that put the tables and chairs on the street......I did go to burbujas disco on my first night. Uh...any straight dude looking for working girls will be in heaven there.

I most likely will not be rushing back to BC until something has changed and there is more to do at night. I guess one can pay to go to the disco at the hamaca...but that aint my scene.....nor am i a gambler...so the casino has no particular draw to me.

NIght life in BC was never quite spectacular. BUt damn...just a few bars where one can shoot a game of pool while hanging with the locals is needed. I am not into kareoke.....but even THAT would be kinda entertaining (i promise...i would even try to sing some bachata LOL).

Ruta 66 was always a nifty place.....not overrun with hookers or sankies....a smattering of locals and toursits...just chill.

So...does anyone THERE think that things will eventualy change/improve in BC? I dont think it will ever rate up there with the big resort towns (especialy with that eyesore to the west...that port and that smokestack)....but just at LITTLE bit of night life is certainly needed!!! For real...i spent most of my night at my hotel (luckily i had some company).
