I am leaving to DR in a week to get surgery done with Dr. Hector Cabral. Does anyone know any afforable hotels for like 5 or 6 nights near the clinic where he works. The clinic is Institudo de Cirugia Especializada located on Av. Bolivar No.208. Any information will help. Thanks.

Do a quick search on this site for
Plaza Hotel Florida, it is on Bolivar and not far from there.

Here, I'll save you the trouble: Hotels, and I am sure some of the other posters can come up with something , perhaps better. Try Aparta Hotel Plaza Florida on Bolivar 203 (809 541 3957 & fax # 809 381 0502). The taxis in Santo Domingo should be about $3 per trip (RD$100??).
