Hello,

Long time since I visited the board, and now I back. I have some friends (girls) who will be staying at the Bahia Principle in San Juan the last week in April.

I'm not at all familiar with this town. My questions are:

How many clubs, disco's are in San Juan, and the names please. How far from Puerto Plata and cost to take taxi's into POP. Any suggestion for two women between ages of 28-30 to hang out. Neither dance Latin, but it does not really matter to them. It's their first trip ever.

Is San Juan a place to party. I know they should booked an AI in POP.

You're pretty isolated out there, in town its gonna be pretty seedy so your hotel entertainment will have to suffice.

Its about 1.5hrs into Puerto Plata but you can go to Cabarete which has many bars/restaurants on the beach. This is maybe 30 mins-45 mins away I think.

I have been Bahia Principe San Juan a few times and have always had fun. On my first trip there I was hesitant about leaving the resort so my friends and I partied at the hotel. The hotel has a street party everynite with a live band and when that is done the disco opens. If they don't want to go the disco there's a casino and they could also go to the Kareoke Bar. The hotel is quite entertaining and there are many things to do. After being at the hotel a few times we have made friends with many people at the hotle and they have taken us around to different places. The animation boys will keep your firends well enteretained and if htey feel comfortable leaving the resort with them they are great group of guys that like to party. I'm these two girls won't have any trouble finding something to do. As long as they are friendly and don't mind the attention of the boys working at the hotel they will have a great time! Too bad they aren't going the second week in May, my friends are leaving for Bahia on May 6, we could've partied with them. Your friends will have a great time at Bahia, I know I always do!
