I have to agree with HB!

Without the paragraph or page that this is part of it's very difficult to do a figurative interpretation so you have only a literal translation!
I realize this will sound ambiguous to many but there is a great difference between interpretation and translation. Anyone with a vocabulary (dictionary) can do a translation but to have a more concise meaning the original must be interpreted as well as translated.

And that's why the on-line translators need to be taken with a grain of salt. (Hmmm.. I wonder if there is a corresponding metaphor in Spanish?)
