la cintura/the waist
las caderas/ the hips
el est?mago/ the stomach

I left out butt, bum, rear end. You may fill in. That conversation is going on in another thread so I'm not sure what the polite name for it is.

Let me know if I got any wrong.
You may add to this list. Please keep it clean. ;)

Thanks

Sorry no accents (I am not on my own computer)

Anna,

"Chin" is masculine el menton.

You asked about "rear end"- There are many words. The most generic term I think is "nalgas". However, equally as common are: culo, pompis (mex.) and trasero.

Also where did you find that word for nipples?

More commonly for breasts is "los senos".

Well darn it, I did knew them as los senos but I was afraid to write the wrong thing. My "vox" Spanish dictionary says pecho but is also referring to chicken breast.

nipples, I couldn't remember so I used altaVista :nervous:

and yes I have heard nalgas for butt. But didn't think it was cool to call it culo.

Anna,

I just had to ask about that word for "nipples". It gave me good laugh though because I have never heard that word before. Nipples= pezones. You will hear another word too...

Pechuga= chicken breast (you see this on menus)

Oidos- refers to the inner part of you ear whereas orejas is the part that you see.

When you are pointing to ears with a child and saying whats that the response would be orejas, but when you are ex plaining to a doctor that you might have an infection in your ear then you would be using oidos.
