GAY LIFE IN PUERTO PLATA, SOSUA or CABARETE

I am planning to staying two months in the North Coast and I would like to know where is the gay life down there ? Where can I meet gay dominicans ? I am not interested in male prostitute and I prefer the North Coast than Santo Domingo where there is an active gay life. All informations welcome !

There are no gay clubs on the north coast, but there is one in Santiago. Two good resources are www.gaydominicanos.com, a Spanish language website dealing with gay & lesbian issues in the DR, and www.amigostours.com. The guy who runs Amigos Tours is a good resource for all sorts of information on g&l life in the DR, including the north coast. He also runs package tours to various parts of the country, and can get whatever information you need. I recall actually that there is one lesbian-run bed and breakfast in Sosua, but keep in mind that most of the gay life in that town revolves around prostitution.
