Coming over to DR on Tuesday, satying in Playa Dorada. Anybody know of goos noght clubs in Puerta Plata area that welcome tourists

In Playa Dorada resort area there is a great number of night clubs Andormeda, Crazy Moon, Tops. In Puerto Plata there is La Barrica Have a great time

Those are all discos. Nightclubs are not found in Playa Dorada but in Puerto Plata. El Boen is one and El Principe is another. Both welcome tourists because without them they could not exist.

Please tell me what the difference between a disco and a nightclub is.

Because I don't think there is one aslong as there is music booze and good times.

Night clubs have entertainment and were around before discos started in the early sixties. The discos put many night club entertainers on the unemployed rolls because they were cheaper to operate.

Labour costs are such in Santo Domingo and Cuba that you still have Las Vegas style shows. In Puerto Plata the waitresses dance, sometimes.
