Default Animals used to describe humans

You know what I mean...Like tigre=the guys you have to watch out for in the streets
In english I thought of a tiger as a go-getter. Someone tough in business and life.

There are others..Like in ee.uu we call someone that is afraid a chicken but not in DR.

I just want to get my animal names straight.

    I have heard of

Un Caballo (a horse) is someone who masters certain abilities.
Un pollo (a chicken) is someone handsome, good looking or elegant (used for guys). My partner says "era un pollo manilo" lol

Maybe a native dominican can elaborate better those animals' meaning.

Un toro or una tora= is someone that through its agility is gaining or accomplinshing something to survive. For instance you often hear the phrase "Se la esta buscando como un toro/una tora." Hard to translate.
