I think that out of all the media outlets readily available to the Dominican public at large Clave is doing a stupendous job right now. They have exposed a number of the many corruption cases going on with the upmost respect for journalistic principle and exposing those responsible. A no holds barred approach to DR like reporting that honestly the DR news outlets (DR1 not included) need to take heed from. I have yet to read a corruption case brought to light such as the INPOSDOM fiasco, and the OPTIC scandal with internal memos and all brought to the public's attention. Why are they doing it and other members of the print media just shake in their boots. Is it the anonimity of the Web?

Clave Digital is not competition for DR1 in that it is a primary news source like the other DR newspapers, which happens to be exclusively on line as opposed to having a print edition and an online edition. DR1 draws on CD for news in the same way as it uses the mainstream print media.

Anonymity is not an issue on Clave because the people working there are well known journalists who have also worked on other DR newspapers and magazines and take part in TV and radio debates.
