Hey folks, I was wondering which North Coast Casino is the best ? Specifically, I'm looking for no-limit Texas Hold 'Em (if it exists), thanx.

In the Playa Dorado complex there are two casinos with Texas Holdum games. The game at Paradise casino is played in US dollars and the game at American Casino at Jack Tar is played in pesos. Both games begin around 9:30 PM nightly. The game at Jack Tar has fewer house shills playing. Both are no-limit. The buyin at Paradise is US $100 minimum, blinds are $1/$2. The buyin at American Casino is RD $2500 minimum, blinds are RD$50/100.
Both games are an interesting mix of tourists and locals.
If you want a friendly game of limit holdum, join us at Rocky's Restaurant in Sosua on Thursday nights.

Hi,

In Sosua what is the budget you need to play hold-em?
We play 10/20 peso blinds. 20 peso bet and 2 raises first three rounds. 40 peso bet and 2 raises on the river. 2000 pesos is very adequate. We're more talk than gamble.

Thanx, based on your response and a search of the site on Poker, it looks like I'd do well to be wary of the Dorado games.
