Can anyone tell me if there is a good Spanish equivalent for "putting the cart before the horse", or another phrase that communicates that carries the same meaning?

Also, what is the correct way to refer to "making a comprimise", i.e. two people giving a little to reach a common agreement..?

Thanks, Jeanmarie

Putting the cart before the horse

In Spanish it's almost the same :

"Poner el carro delante de las mulas "

To reach a compromise = " llegar a un arreglo "
