The Hodelpa Gran Almiranta Hotel in Santiago

My friend told me that this is the best hotel in Santiago.

Thiss hotel does not accept AAA membership cards. So I was unable to get a discount.

You can make a reservation at reservasalmirante@hodelpa.com

The rate is around $155 a night (not including other taxes and expenses)
You get a free drink coupon and a $5 coupon for the casino.
The casino is also nice. They serve free food at around 10:45pm. You can dance and gamble at the same time.

On the second floor is an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, a health club where you can work out, and a massage room. There is also a bar where the swimming pool is.

The service was excellent. The housekeepers cleaned my room right away and if I ordered room service (such as extra towels or a drink), they would deliver it to my room within 10 minutes.

The hotel is clean and well-organized. But the A/C was too strong. I had the A/C at low and at 25 degress celcius but I was still cold!!!

There are two restaurants on the first floor of the hotel. I did not try it.

There is a large supermarket (National) which is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

I mentioned in another thread that the resturant there is really nice.. the sit down one that is...

but does anyone else think that a free drink and $5 for gambling is anything to cheer about in a $155 per night room! ha ha ha its laughable....It would less insulting to not even offer those!!!!!!...........just my opinion...bob

I agree with you bob. :classic:

I did not plan on going to Santiago. But when I did, my friend booked me at this place. He thinks I'm a rich guy but I keep telling him that not all Americans are rich. :cross-eye

My Dominican friend thinks that ALL Americans are rich.

I would not pay around $180 (including tax and other expenses) a night to stay at this hotel. But if you have the money, then you will like it.
