That organization is basically a networking group.
ie: your spanish, and you want to meet other hispanics to form contacts.
I've participated in events like that before but they're mostly just for young people starting out who want to meet others. For example, you work for a marketing firm, you would then go to the meeting and try to find someone who would need your services, like a newly started business that needs help with advertising ect...
I take it the ultimate goal would be to find spanish owned businesses that could possibly provide jobs for people in DR. I know of many dominicans oversees who have come here based on a job opening that required spanish skills like telemarketing ect... I doubt this could bring jobs to DR because of all the corruption that happens down there. But it serves a purpouse for natives to get hooked up with employment oppurtities here though.
