This is a cafeteria type restaurant serving vegetarian dishes; variety of soy dishes, gluten, brown rice, beans, pastel en hoja, and lots of salads. The sitting area is commune where you get to sit with other customers. The prices are excellent! For lunch I had large portions of mashed potatoes, gluten with vegetables, carrot & tayota salad and a bottle of water, all this for only $88 pesos. I was stuffed and many of you can confirm that this does not happen easily with me! :nervous:

I have visited a couple of Vegetarian restaurants but nothing compares to the variety I saw in this one. Definitely worth checking out!

Chiri, have you gone there yet? :classic:

I agree with you. This is an excellent place to eat. The food is good and the price is so cheap!

This place also has a lot of desserts such as cakes and brownies. :classic:

If you want "free" food, then go to the Jaragua casino between 10:30pm to 11pm. The casino always serve free food at this time. ;)

Just to let everyone know, this restaurant is NOT a good place for a date.

It's just a nice buffet restaurant that is so cheap (around 90 pesos a person).

I like the one on 30 de marzo near the Parque, no idea what it's called, but it's a couple blocks subiendo from the Parque Independencia on the left. It has great lentil burgers, curries, veggies and salads, with a variety of flavors. Pretty cheap too. I like it better than Raices.

THere's also a good one on Ramón Santana near Max. Gómez, Govinda's? (behind the Super Nacional) that has excellent veggie food. Might be a better place to take a date, it has a pretty nice ambiente. Watch out for the midday rush tho.
