Hello folks,

This will be my 4th time in DR, but first time in Juan Dolio. What restaurants and bars would you recommand in Juan Dolio or the surrounding areas?

Thanks!

Jaga,
Welcome to DR1.com. Nobody has replied to your post yet but just wait and they will. I used the search function which is in the upper right portion of the screen and I typed in Juan Dolio and came up with these links that you might want to check out.

Once again welcome and we hope your trip is enjoyable and if you would be so kind please post a trip report in the Trip Report Forum when you get back home.

So I have a life outside this board......

Thanks for picking up the slack Rick.....

One of our favorite restaurants is Bahia del Duke......which is found almost directly across the street (beach road) from Naito Mini Market. Excellent food and reasonable prices! Great fried Calamari and wonderful fettucini with lobster or lobster ravioli (same taste but more lobster and pasta with the fettucini).

Another favorite is La Cucina della Momma ....which is in the Villas del Mar section of Juan Dolio...way up near the end of the beach road/boulevard in the Meridiana building. Great Italian food and the pasta with zuccini and saffron is heaven. They also make a great pasta with seafood sauce!

Can't forget Guilia's Cafe.....again in the Villas del Mar section! Great for light lunches and they have live music Monday nights for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Yep, it is (but we like the pizza at Bahia del Duke or La Cucina della Momma better)......
Also to mention is L'Aura....a bit pricey but the ambience is great and the food is worth the premium for at least one meal!!

There is a new bar/restaurant on the corner across from Naito Mini Market thaat we haven't tried out yet however reviews of those that have are favourable. They do a 'wine tasting' type of thing with cheeses and mini sandwiches that sounds interesting.......
