Observation from the Frontier: Pool cost
We will be building a pool about that size in a new house starting construction next month. Kidney shaped 13' wide @ 5' deep end and 11' wide @ 3' shallow end, 26' long. approx. 15,000 gallons.
Be sure that you have your potential builder give you the following breakdown for cost if you can, w/ sub-breakouts even better.
1. Prep work: what is called PRELIMARES

3,1: H.A. En losa de Piso Hd=0.14mts. ( 1:2:4 Con Ligadora )
3,2: H.A. En Muros Hd=0.14mts ( 1:2:4 Con Ligadora )
4: TERMINACION DE SUPERICIE ( surfaces )
4,1: Fino En Losa de Fondo ( we are using fine stone on the bottom )
4.2: Zabaletas
4,3: Empanete de Muros
4,4: Cantos
5: PINTURA ( paint )
5,1: Impermeabilizante ( waterproof )
5,2: Pintura Acrilica En Paredes
This will give you the pool itself. ( On our pool we are at around 15.5K )
6: AREA DE CIRCULATION PERIMETRO PISCINA
6,1: Revestida en Pierdas

7,1: Caseta de Bomba de Piscina y tuberias ( pump house )
7,2: Sumibistro de Bomba y Tuberias + Installation ( pump + inst. )
This should give you a sub total for the finished pool. ( our pool now $ 23K )
All our cost are based on top grade construction and materials.
Don't forget the Gastos Generales which will be be based on sub-total.

Our pool with its slightly larger size, stone bottom and a good amount of area around the pool covered ( 840 sq ft ) will cost the owner just under 28K @ 33: 1.
