i wish to build a pool 13ft wide * 20ft long * 5ft depth averaged

ive been quoted the following 2 prices
$12500
$14000

this does not include pump equipment , water falls or fancy lighting ect...it only includes the 'pool'!!!
Are this quotes realistic/over-priced ect???
what should i expect to pay for a basic pool 13*20*5ft??????????
thanks

Observation from the Frontier: Pool cost

We will be building a pool about that size in a new house starting construction next month. Kidney shaped 13' wide @ 5' deep end and 11' wide @ 3' shallow end, 26' long. approx. 15,000 gallons.

Be sure that you have your potential builder give you the following breakdown for cost if you can, w/ sub-breakouts even better.

1. Prep work: what is called PRELIMARES
1,1: Replanteo

2: MOVIMIENTO DE TIERRA ( move the earth )
2,1: Extraccion Capa Vejetal
2,2: Excavation de Material con Buldozzer ( we are using a D-7 )
2,3: Bote de Material con Cargador Frontal y Camiones

3: Hormigon Armado ( concrete, reinforced )
3,1: H.A. En losa de Piso Hd=0.14mts. ( 1:2:4 Con Ligadora )
3,2: H.A. En Muros Hd=0.14mts ( 1:2:4 Con Ligadora )

4: TERMINACION DE SUPERICIE ( surfaces )
4,1: Fino En Losa de Fondo ( we are using fine stone on the bottom )
4.2: Zabaletas
4,3: Empanete de Muros
4,4: Cantos

5: PINTURA ( paint )
5,1: Impermeabilizante ( waterproof )
5,2: Pintura Acrilica En Paredes

This will give you the pool itself. ( On our pool we are at around 15.5K )

6: AREA DE CIRCULATION PERIMETRO PISCINA
6,1: Revestida en Pierdas

7: MISCELANESO
7,1: Caseta de Bomba de Piscina y tuberias ( pump house )
7,2: Sumibistro de Bomba y Tuberias + Installation ( pump + inst. )

This should give you a sub total for the finished pool. ( our pool now $ 23K )

All our cost are based on top grade construction and materials.

Don't forget the Gastos Generales which will be be based on sub-total.

Tansporte de Materials y Equipos 3 %
Seguro Social y Contra Accidented 4%
Gasto Administrativos 3.5%
Direccion Tecnica y Responsabilidad 10%.

Our pool with its slightly larger size, stone bottom and a good amount of area around the pool covered ( 840 sq ft ) will cost the owner just under 28K @ 33: 1.

Hope this information is of help.
