The Associated Press reports Arizona Diamondbacks P Angel Rocha was suspended for 100 games after testing positive for steroids. He was suspended 15 games June 6 last year, and this was his second offense.
A left-hander, Rocha has not seen action yet in 2006 and last year split time between Class A South Bend and Class A short season Yakima. With South Bend he was 2-1 with a 6.98 ERA and with Yakima he was 3-8 with a 5.43 ERA. Rocha was originally signed by Arizona as a non-drafted free agent in 2002.
The suspension was the longest issued by Major League Baseball.
