Does anyone know the name of the beautiful blue semi translucent stone with the white veining that is mined in the DR ??? Appreciate any info. Thanks

Laura, The Blue Stone is called Larimar. Other than that I don't know much about it, sorry.

Yes, that beautiful stone is larimar and is found only in the DR. My daughter has been to the DR twice and each time I made sure she brought some back for me! Very difficult and expensive to find in the U.S.
