Puerto Plata to La Isabela

I searched and didn't come with any info.

I'm planning to visit La Isabela from Santiago - I've been informed there are mini buses that drop you off at the La Isabela. Another option, I might be going to Puerto Plata from Santiago and will consider a side trip to La Isabela, but I don't have any info about transportation.

Does anyone know of buses going to La Isabela? How much ? Where can I get the bus and phone number ?

I believe you would get off the public transport between Santiago & Puerto Plata, at the main highway turn-off,(In the sugar cane fields, at the crest of a hill, 1/4 mile North of a long bridge crossing a river) 2 miles South of Imbert, heading West, through Guananico and on to Isabela.
