Hi guys
Can you offer some help and or information please.

We have been here since Jan 06 and are now to be resident here [cedula's etc applied for]

We wish to "import" some of our personal effects, some cooking utensils and small kitchen appliances [non electrical], some prepacked foods from home [Branston pickle, salad cream, gravy granules, 'cook-in' sauces{packet typr} etc] a few reading bboks and a small amount of additional clothing. Probable total value around ₤1000 sterling

The volume and weight would be too large and heavy to be taken as an airline passenger [approx 120 - 140 kilos in 7 - 8 boxes ].

So far al the shipping agents from UK will not do door to door and will only send by airfreight.

Will we have to pay import tax and or any other charges at customs at POP airport and if so how much?

If you do not know the answers, can you point us in the right direction as to where we can get this information from.

Thanks
