Out the front gate and turn left Bavaro plaza is in front of you, down the street 1/4 mile right and then quick left.
Walk the beach to the right of Bavaro Princess past the Palladium resorts to the vendor shacks turn right between the buildings and go back one block you are in Cortecito.

Great little spot, lots of shops, cheaper the further you are from the beach.
