Remuneration: US$40,947 to US$52,447 per annum, single, or US$43,655 to US$56,238 per annum with dependents.

Based in Madrid, Spain.

Duties:
Responsible for planning and executing media relations -- broadcast and written.
Maintaining and enhancing relations with press and media.
Preparation of press releases, interviews and articles.
Responsibility for content and publication of UNWTO NEWS.
Participation in the committee of publications.
Contribution to conferences on tourism and communications.
Participation in peer-level planning meetings and production of budgets and management reports

Qualifications:
University degree (preferably at master's level) in journalism.
At least 10 years experience as a practicing journalist with at least 5 years in media relations -- broadcast and written.

Knowledge of UNWTO and the UN Common System and proven familiarity with international tourism policies and issues.

Good presentation, report/release writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure and long horus.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and good working knowledge of Spanish or French. Computer skills.
