I live in SD and am going to visit Ocean World with my family in July.I will be staying in Cabarete with a friend, and need to know a couple things.
1.Are there discount tickets for Ocean World on the street....the prices on web are very high.
2.On their web site they mention a shuttle from the park to Sosua,Cabarete..does anyone know anything about that?

Thanks,
Bob

The prices on the web are Tourist Prices. If you have your cedulas there are reduced "local prices" but I don't know what they are. AFAIK there is no discounting of OW tickets.

Ocean World prices (at least the tourist prices) include:
- Round trip bus transfers ($5US per person surcharge from Cabarete)
- Lunch Buffet (no drinks)
- Snorkeling in Tropical Reef Aquarium (equipment included)
- Swimming in Tiger Grotto (separated from tigers by a glass wall.)
- Sea Lion Shows (twice per day)
- Rainforest and Bird Exhibits
- Observation of all Dolphin and Sea Lion Interactive Programs
- Usage of Dolphin Beach (beach lounge chairs included)

You might have to go to a local hotel in Cabarete to meet the bus for your transport. To confirm details including prices and inclusions with cedulas (if applicable) please contact Tania Padilla at tania@ocean-world.info - she looks after the reservations.
