Guys,

A little help is needed from all you savy people.

A dominican little joint (restaurant u pot heads)... in NJ, what should I name it?

Every damn name i think of has been taken. I want something clever, catchy and clearly dominican.

Suggestions now welcomed...promise to use one of them!!

Hey is there gonna be dancing and drinking at this place?? and if so please don't blast the music to blow out people's ear drums. and don't over season the beans and make the rice salty and don't burn the chicken. and don't use canned beets for the salad, please please.
Just teasing lalla but I'll try think of a name...later. are we invited to the opening??? :)

Any details would be helpful.
Do you want it to sound Spanish?
Do you want it to be easy to pronounce?
Do you want it to be short?
Do you want it to sound classy or homey?
Any details would help.

LMFAO-umm maybe not that....

Ok so here's the idea:

neighborhood is not really a spanish neighborhood, so calling it mangu minute (LOL) as i wanted wont work, people will be like EH??

So I need a name that is clearly TYPICAL of the DR...but it cant be a slang either cause it wont be understood. Obviously I'll have a nice dominican flag to show the type of joint it will be.

But theme will be,
quick take out food, chicacharron de pollo, de puerco
yuca con cebollas
guineitos
mofongo
pollo a la brasa.....
rice and beans.

Give us some clues.
What would it be like?
How would you like it to be perceived.
Otherwise, we are just tossing out random names and you have a lesser chance of getting something you really like.

I want it to be the little spot everyone runs to for that pollo a la brasa with rice and beans.
the "home style food" that you cant get at home cuase your wife doesnt cook, or cuase you dont want to cook or cause your single and what some authentic dominican food.

sort of like the cuchifrito that everyone loves

I like the names too, but bear in mind that English only speaking people, will see it as "cazita"
And "cocina" would be Cawsinnah.

There used to be a beach bar in Sosua, called Coco Loco.
It was a very catchy name.

Cocina Dominicana sounds good, but its too general. By general, I mean it's too obvious of a name. It would be better if its a name that makes the potential customer think "that's an interesting name" or "I wonder how they came up with this name for this place" or simply "that sounds interesting, let's see what's about" and such.

That way, they would be enticed to enter the place "to see what its about" and if you have some Dominican paintings of countryside settings with little bohios and such then it satisfy their curiosity and perhaps, their curiosity develop into wanting to taste and/or experience what the place has to offer.
