Hi! We stayed in Las Terrenas 2 years ago and ate at a fabulous restaurant on Playa Bonita. Owned by a French woman, also had several hotel rooms. Could eat in the garden and inside the restaurant. Could anyone please give me the name of the restaurant?

Also, what are the new "hot" restaurants in Las Terrenas?

thanks

could have been Casa Grande...
maybe Atlantis...
Lots of talk about Colibar, simple, good italian food, in Playa Las Ballenas...
I am not an expert, it´s just my 2 cents...

Has to be Atlantis, see if pictures:

are familiar.
Hotel Atlantis WebSite is not working.

In Las Terrenas, "Colibar"(http://www.playacolibri.com/dining.html) for Italian cusine and "Eva Luna"(http://www.villa-evaluna.com) for French cusine.

Colibar hits the spot

Was in LT 6/19-6/27. Had dinner at Colibar twice...and lunch once. Was quite pleased. Italian chef/owner. Fresh pasta every day and seafood dishes based on the mornings catch. Prices are very reasonable and the view is hard to beat. GG

We thought Colibar to be a bit overpriced compared to a couple of nice places on the beach at Pueblo de Pescadores. Also the portions were a lot heftier than we (usually good appetites) could manage. Not a problem if you're staying in the house or somewhere near by with a kitchen -- doggie bag and warm things over the next day. But it does have a nice ambience.

How about Eva Luna?

Hi, everyone!
Thanks, Squat, you where right. The restaurant I was trying to remember was Casa Grande. I hope it's still as good as two years ago!

How is Eva Luna? The website is nice, the menu looks great.
Has anyone stayed in their rooms?

I will definately try Colibar this time around. I bet they're celebrating Italy's victory over Germany.....Forza Italia!
