I'm freezing my butt off here in New England right now, and I'm hoping the weather will be nice and warm when I get there in 2 weeks and 5 days,4 hours and 35 minutes!!! Can someone give me any encouraging word on that???? We are having artic air with a wind chill of -10 degrees below zero F. For those of you who don't know, that's REAL COLD!BRRR!I'm dreaming of the beautiful warm Caribbean sunshine and that beautiful warm water and just counting the days, hours, and minutes. I can't wait!!!!!!

Yesterday and today are some of the best weather days I've seen here in Las Galeras. Sunny with a gentle tradewind softly rustling the coco palms and the temperature in the low to mid eighties. The ocean looks more like a gently-rolling summer sea than a lumpy, wintery, south-Atlantic Ocean with 15-20' swells crashing against our two capes.

Perhaps it will still be nice when you come down from the ice and snow. Makes me shiver just to think about it. Never again.

I spoke too soon as a winter front with clouds, wind and rain is now moving onto the northeast coast. This means a day or two of crummy weather for us, but still a LOT better than what you are facing. Happy Holidays.

Sunny, gentle tradewinds softly rustling the coco palms!! Boy,oh boy, does that ever inspire a lovely image. If you could only see what I have to look at. A barren landscape, totally brown ,devoid of life and color. Believe me when I say this truely sucks! So thank you for giving me that glimmer of beauty that is awaiting me in 2 weeks,3 days , and counting the minutes to touch down!!!!

Sincerely,

Donna P.S. Have a very happy New Year!
